Fuel Operator

We are looking for a reliable, vigilant, and customer-oriented Fuel Operator (Petrol Pump Attendant) to join our service team in Kayamkulam, the historic capital of the Odanad kingdom and a bustling commercial crossroads in Alappuzha. Located strategically on NH66 between Alappuzha and Kollam, our station serves a vital flow of interstate transport, local coir industry logistics, and tourists visiting the iconic Krishnapuram Palace. You will be the first point of contact for the diverse commuters traveling through this coastal gateway of “Onattukara.”

Key Responsibilities

• Fuel Dispensing: Accurately operate dispensers to refuel vehicles with Petrol, Diesel, and CNG, ensuring precision in every delivery—from local auto-rickshaws to heavy-duty trucks serving the Kayamkulam Power Plant and coir clusters.
• Transaction Management: Professionally handle cash and digital payments via UPI and POS machines, maintaining an organized record of sales and providing prompt receipts.
• Safety Standards: Strictly implement safety protocols, including the enforcement of “No Smoking” and “Engine Off” rules. Maintain high vigilance to prevent fuel spills and ensure a fire-safe environment at the islands.
• Vehicle Care Services: Provide basic services such as tire pressure checks (Air/Nitrogen), windshield cleaning, and oil level inspections to support travelers on the busy NH66 route.
• Inventory Assistance: Help the supervisor during fuel decanting from tankers, ensuring all safety measures are followed and recording stock levels accurately.
• Customer Interaction: Greet every visitor with a friendly and respectful attitude, communicating clearly in Malayalam or Hindi to assist with customer queries and promote loyalty programs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Minimum 8th or 10th pass; basic literacy is essential for reading meter readings and managing digital billing.
• Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in Malayalam is required for local engagement; working knowledge of Hindi or English is a significant advantage for interacting with long-distance drivers and tourists.
• Numerical Ability: Strong basic math skills for quick calculations and ensuring accurate change for cash transactions.
• Attributes: High integrity, physical stamina for standing shifts, and an alert, helpful demeanor during peak traffic hours.

Experience

• 0–2 years preferred; prior experience in fuel retail, logistics, or a customer-facing service role is an advantage.
• Freshers with a strong sense of responsibility and a focus on safety are highly encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with digital payment apps (PhonePe, Google Pay, etc.) and basic smartphone usage is expected.
