Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Curriculum: Teach the assigned subject (or class level) effectively, adhering to the syllabus and curriculum guidelines, primarily focused on CBSE, ICSE, or Kerala State Board requirements.
Planning & Preparation: Prepare detailed, engaging lesson plans, create relevant worksheets, and source diverse learning materials that integrate local history and context where appropriate.
Classroom Management: Maintain high standards of discipline and encourage positive, active classroom engagement among students from diverse backgrounds.
Assessment & Evaluation: Assess, evaluate, and track student performance regularly through tests, projects, and feedback mechanisms aligned with the relevant board standards.
Communication: Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral development, often requiring interaction in Malayalam.
School Involvement: Actively participate in parent-teacher meetings, faculty training sessions, school activities, and local educational outreach programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the relevant subject area. A B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification is highly preferred.
- Subject Mastery: Strong, in-depth subject knowledge.
- Language Fluency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Malayalam and English are mandatory for effective instruction and parent interaction in the region.
- Classroom Dynamics: Proven ability to manage classroom activities and diverse student behaviors effectively.
- Attitude: Patience, empathy, adaptability, and a proactive, positive teaching attitude suited to a supportive community school environment.
- Technology: Proficiency in basic computer skills and educational technology tools for digital learning and presentation.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience: 1–5 years of teaching experience in a reputable school is preferred. Freshers with exceptional subject knowledge, a B.Ed., and strong communication skills are also encouraged to apply.
- Board Experience: Direct experience teaching students under the CBSE, ICSE, or Kerala State Board curriculum.
