First of its Kind: It is proudly known as India’s first pentagon-shaped lighthouse.

Height: The reinforced cement concrete tower stands at 41.26 meters (approx. 135 feet) tall, making it the second tallest lighthouse in Kerala.

Modern Technology: The lighting system uses an LED marine lantern and is powered by solar energy.

Visibility: It has a luminous range of 24 nautical miles, assisting mariners and local fishermen.

Inauguration: It was inaugurated in October 2021 by the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal.
